I have been teaching English as a foreign language since 2010 and I have a Master's in (TESOL) Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and my thesis speaks to the area of psycholinguistics in applied linguistics which is the field of study concerned with the psychological aspects of language acquisition and language studies. I also have a Bachelor Degree in English Language and Literature.
I specialize in teaching ESP, General English, Academic English, Business English, IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge Language Exam preparation and I worked for the British Council as one of the IELTS Speaking Assessment Examiners in the IEFT. First, I started my teaching career as a University instructor, teaching English for specific purposes for students in the faculty of Civil Engineering, the faculty of Education, and the faculty of Sciences, physics department and then I worked for large organizations such as New Horizons, Mericler, and Cambridge International Academy. In addition, I was the Academic director of Oxford House College and Cambridge International Academy from 2015 to 2020.
Teaching for me is not a job but a career and my University teachers were the primary source of inspiration to choose teaching as my future career. They introduced me to the world of literature and education, and the joy of learning. Therefore, I strongly believe in being a facilitator in the classroom and watching students take control of their own learning through promoting students’ autonomy by using techniques that foster independence and I love watching the development of students’ critical thinking, writing and speaking skills.
